The small twister is one of several spotted in Oregon Thursday afternoon.
Three commercial buildings, all of them used for storage, were among those damaged, McMinnville Fire Chief Rich Leipfert said. The porch roof on one nearby home sustained minor damage, Leipfert said.
A two-person National Weather Service storm survey team dispatched to the scene confirmed that the damage was caused by a tornado but did not immediately determine its wind speed or strength, Weather Service meteorologist Miles Higa said Thursday night from Portland.
