The Southwest Portland retail and repair shop targets European bikes and accessories.

Sometimes, entrepreneurs are just a couple of guys who like to tinker on bikes, and who hope Portland has room for one more bike shop in a town full of them.

In the case of Glenn and Marc Vanselow, those couple of guys are a father-and-son team who opened the doors May 17 to Burlingame Bikes. They don't want to change the world; only offer neighborhood bike retail and repair shop – with a European flourish and in the "spirit of fun" – in the Burlingame section of Southwest Portland.
