Sherwood citizens may craft own business regulations

Ever since Walmart announced a 145,000-square-foot store, citizens have called for a voice in crafting and voting on regulations connected to big-box retailers.

At a session last night, Council President Linda Henderson proposed forming an eight-member citizen review committee that would discuss the same regulations addressed by city officials last week. They include prohibitions overnight parking and 24 hour operations and a part-time workers' bill of rights.
