The Oregon Democrat is meeting Monday morning with the owner of a maker of sports bras, in part to draw attention to bills Bonamici says would promote U.S.-based manufacturing.
“More and more companies are beginning to see the advantages of moving manufacturing back to the United States,” Bonamici said in a news release. “Handful is proving that it can be done. The ability to directly oversee your production line, improved product quality, and the Made in America label are all advantages. I’m working to pass a ‘Make it in America’ agenda that rewards companies for creating jobs here instead of overseas.”
