Eugene-based King Retail Solutions provides design and manufacturing work for retailers nationwide.

After cutting its staff from a pre-recession peak of 275 permanent employees (315 if also counting seasonal hires) down to 75 during the depths of the recession, the company is back up to 150 employees and still hiring. It expects to be at 175 employees by the end of this month, President Shaun Londahl said.

“Our creative director, Chris Studach, has been with us since the ’70s,” [Executive Vice President Farrah Potter] said. “He is an incredible designer. And he’s also a master brewer.” (A caricature of Studach adorns the label of Rogue Brewery’s Hazelnut Brown Nectar, which the brewery collaborated with him on.)
