SoloPower made a last-minute payment on an Oregon loan, after state officials were preparing to foreclose on the manufacturer.
State officials had said Friday they were preparing to foreclose on the manufacturer after it missed the payment due Wednesday. But they added then that the San Jose, Calif., company had until the close of business Monday, under a grace period, to make the interest-only payment on its $10 million loan.
The development occurred without comment from SoloPower. It's the latest twist in the tale of a company that refuses to give up on its goal of mass-producing solar panels in thin sheets to be rolled out on rooftops.
