With the average price for a gallon of unleaded up 74 cents higher than a year ago, Oregon is feeling the ripple effects of high gas prices. Prices that are expected to top $4 soon are forcing many Oregonians to rethink their driving habits.

From Oregon Translational Research and Development Institute: OTRADI today announced its plans to open and operate a 13,000 square-foot multi-tenant bioscience complex in the Willamette Wharf building at 4640 SW Macadam Avenue. Slated to be complete in spring 2013, the OTRADI Bioscience Incubator (OBI) will house up to six companies.

Of course this would not be the case if the environmentalis ts would get real and we could provide all the gas we need for ourselves from the reserves in Alaska (90 billion gallons of good oil just sittin' in the ground getting older. We also have so much oil in the Dakotas that we could refine it and start exporting some of it around the world. But, no. We'd rather pay the higher prices and line the pockets of those countries that love us so much. What a bunch of goofballs!!
Yes, I'm getting cynical in my old age.
