Soldiers looking for jobs spoke with over 100 employers on Saturday at the Yellow Ribbon Career and Benefits Fair.

The event, held at Clackamas Community College, drew a crowd of 3,100.

The Oregon National Guard, the office of U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and the college organized the event with the 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team in mind. Soldiers in the brigade recently returned from a yearlong deployment to Iraq. About half of them are believed to be looking for jobs.

The event, however, was open to all: National Guard, reserve, active duty and veterans. Another three fairs are planned this summer in Oregon.

Bioscience complex will house six local companies in 2013
