Portland-based startup SignaCert, which was founded by former Tripwire chief Wyatt Starnes, sold its business to Harris Corp., a Florida comany.
SignaCert is a high-tech company that helps businesses keep their company networks up-to-date with technical standards.
SignaCert has raised nearly $20 million in venture backing -- including $8.8 million last year from In-Q-Tel, the CIA's venture capital arm. Prior backers included DCM, Intel Capital and SmartForest Ventures.
Harris said that it will retain SignaCert's downtown Portland office and the 10 people who work there. Starnes will become vice president and chief technology officer for Harris Cyber Integrated Solutions.
