After weeks of discussion with the city of Beaverton, the Biggi family has decided not to sell its piece of land for the city's proposed new stadium.
“We’ve decided not to sell our property,” said Dominic Biggi. “We allowed (the city) to give a good spiel, but we decided not to sell.”
Biggi said that he and members of his family met Tuesday with Gary Brentano and Lonnie Dicus, who are on the city’s baseball stadium negotiation team. He said that the city made an informal offer of around $8 million for the land and buildings owned by his father, Gene Biggi, adjacent to the site of the former Westgate Theater.
