Several factors stand in the way of the Clark County Amphitheater becoming the area destination it was meant to be, among them traffic problems for Oregon residents, lack of parking and noise complaints. The amphitheater has yet to make a profit.
Ever since its opening in 2003, the Amphitheater at Clark County has waited for people to show it some love.
And, the developers figure, what's not to love? They built the place, handed over ownership to the people, paid the rent on time, brought in the talent and poured the beer.
But as the amphitheater enters its seventh season of summer concerts, there is little reason to think it will reverse a long-standing money-losing trend.
