Wine glut
written by Neil Barham , March 17, 2010 7:32:04 am PDT I proudly sell ORE wines here in Colorado to restaurants and liquor stores. The problem here is that too many of restaurants and stores feel ORE wines are niche wines, they receive little shelf space, etc. even though when I work public tasting tables the public love the wines and repeatedly say they want to be able to find them. You need to directly compete against California wines. In our market the giants, Gallo, KJ, Constellation and others from California are taking over shelve space. Your wines, especially your whites are better than the offerings from California, your pinots as well. I would start doing trade events that place your best next to the best from california in each price point, much like when California wines won the paris tastings back in the 70s. report abuse
