WSJ: Private-sector payrolls rose by 238,000 in December, the highest gain since November 2012.

"Job gains are broad-based across industries, most notably in construction and manufacturing," a report compiled by Automatic Data Processing Inc. said. "It appears that businesses are growing more confident and increasing their hiring."
