Propeller, a management consultancy whose clients include leading organizations in the energy, manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, technology and retail industries, announced today that it has been recognized by Consulting Magazine as one of the Best Small Firms to Work For in 2016.

Propeller ranked No. 12 on the list, which identifies standout firms within the consulting field based on career development, compensation and benefits, culture, work-life balance, firm leadership and job satisfaction. The rankings are based on a survey by Consulting Magazine of more than 10,000 professional consultants.

“As a relatively new firm founded just four years ago, being recognized as a best firm to work for shows that we truly are building something great here at Propeller,” said Amy Weeden, managing partner and co-founder of Propeller. Propeller debuted on the list in 2015 at No. 14. “We pride ourselves on hiring the right people, building an amazing culture and doing exceptional work for clients. The recognition by Consulting Magazine affirms what our consultants already know – that Propeller is an exceptional and unique place to work.”

The award marks the latest in a series of milestones for the company. To meet increasing business demand in the Bay Area, Propeller opened an office in San Francisco in early 2016. The local team primarily focuses on the consumer products industry with plans to expand to additional markets. As the company continues to increase in scope, headcount and geography, Propeller is committed to maintaining its local, people-centric business model.

Propeller offers a wide range of benefits and employee culture events, including unlimited paid time off, extensive training and a robust on-boarding process. Key differentiators include a focus on recruiting exceptional talent and providing ongoing opportunities for staff development. A thriving cultural manifesto guides Propeller in its commitment to do right by its clients.

“We guide Propeller with a single belief: Always do the right thing,” Weeden said. “People sometimes think consulting is about processes, systems or methodology, but we learned long ago that success always comes down to people. Doing right by the people we work with guides the large and small decisions we make every day. In return, people work harder, collaborate better and take more risks because we trust them.”
