Launched last year, “The Campaign for Opportunity” aims to help fund educational opportunities for first-generation college students, who comprise 40% of PCC’s student population.

Now a Corvallis-based startup, Amorphyx, has developed an alternative to the transistor, which acts as a dimmer switch controlling the amount of light coming through the display screen.
