BEAVERTON, Ore., January 27, 2014  ̶  EasyStreet® Inc., an enterprise-class Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and cloud provider, announced today that Rich Bader, one of the company’s founders and its only CEO since 1995, will retire at the end of January. EasyStreet also named Jon Thomsen as Chief Executive Officer as part of an important milestone in a succession planning process that has been underway for more than a year. Today’s announcement positions EasyStreet for a smooth leadership transition and strengthens EasyStreet’s strategy of providing enterprise-level IT services, including custom clouds, disaster recovery, data center and managed IT solutions.

Bader, who remains an EasyStreet shareholder and a member of its Board of Directors, has led EasyStreet for more than 19 years. His work was instrumental in building EasyStreet into a global provider of cloud computing and managed IT services.

“Rich Bader is one of the reasons we invested in EasyStreet,” said Jim Collis, co-founder and partner of Seaport Capital, EasyStreet’s largest shareholder. “His unique vision has kept EasyStreet growing by advancing its services to meet evolving market demands. The EasyStreet Board, its staff, our clients and industry partners are grateful for his many contributions, including preparing the organization for this transition. Rich’s handoff to Jon allows EasyStreet to continue its focus on growth through delivering world-class IaaS and managed cloud services.  Jon’s leadership experience, customer focus and long-time Portland presence makes him an outstanding choice to lead EasyStreet into its next phase of progress.”

Thomsen is the former executive vice president of operations at Ecova, a 1,400 employee energy management company serving Fortune 1000 businesses and large North American utilities. Prior to Ecova, Jon was the CEO of Ecos, a nationally focused energy consulting firm located in Portland.

Said Bader, “Jon’s experience, energy and leadership in integrating resources, accelerating the client experience and managing through positive growth will be invaluable as we continue to take EasyStreet forward as a market leader for managed enterprise computing infrastructure solutions. Knowing EasyStreet and its clients are in such good hands will give me comfort while I pursue my personal passions.”

Thomsen, an Oregon native, graduated from Willamette University with a degree in Economics and has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Locally, Thomsen serves on the endowment committee of Willamette University and on the Board of the Children’s Cancer Association.

Said Thomsen, “I am excited to be at the helm of a company with such a long history of innovation and reliability. EasyStreet’s reputation for stable, high performing operations combined with the integration of Infinity Internet last year will allow us to scale and build upon the great services for which we’re already known. My expertise is to take companies of EasyStreet’s size and attributes to the next level of growth through a high degree of focus on clients and operational excellence. The path forward represents a tremendous opportunity for our current and future cloud and managed service clients as we continue to deliver on our promise of stability, reliability, functionality and peace of mind.”
