One Day Conference to bring together 300+ regional business and government leaders

GoGreen Portland will feature an Oregon Wine Industry Sustainable Showcase during the closing plenary taking place Tuesday, October 6 at 4:00p.m. During this session, Oregon wineries and vineyards will discuss how they are implementing sustainability and environmental practices in the areas of pesticide and fertilizer management, energy management, water conservation, waste reduction and more. The discussion will focus on how climate change is affecting the industry, how leaders in wine production are practicing resiliency, and how third party certification has created and maintained such high industry standards.

Deb Hatcher, Founder of A to Z Wineworks and moderator of the plenary, reflected on the Green Line Series “The Oregon wine industry developed the LIVE Certified Sustainable program for vineyards and wineries. While being rigorous, LIVE takes a practical approach recognizing that trade-offs are sometimes necessary in agriculture.”
