			<description><![CDATA[1) No one may like grunt work, but take a cue from The Karate Kid. Daniel-Son sanded a porch and painted a house...however , when tied together, that 'grunt work' illustrated the big picture. If you give your interns grunt work which is proactive, the good ones will learn from it. 2) If you can't quantify or produce metrics for any work you're doing, how do you define winning? Winners keep score. 3) Shogun. Sho nuff. 4) Have the intern meet frequently with various departments their work impacts. Frequent meetings are ok when utilized properly, but this approach gives them a bigger view of the overall operation, how their work impacts it, and what can be done to improve things. It may also give you a valuable 'outsider' opinion which may assist in approaching problems in ways which you would not have thought. Objections/Conc lusion: Spot on.]]></description>
