How about $25

Same -I have missed two now for the same reason.....anyt hing over $25, the price charged at Pubtalks, seems too much just to come watch other companies win money. How about charging the entry fee to the OEN investors and the finalists who stand to make money from competition, and let the rest of us attend for free.

Agreed - $200 is more than I can pay -

I would love to attend, to learn and to share. But I work for a firm that is struggling to stay afloat, and we're not a service provider (atty/CPA,etc) so my attendance wouldn't be for sales purposes. I'm a huge supporter of entrepreneurshi p - it's what will lead us out of the recession - but I can't afford to pay that kind of money. Put me there with Andrew above.

It would be nice to be able to attend this event without paying $200! The turnout would be much better and the overall involvement and response from the entrepreneurial community will increase. I would have loved to attend myself, but I am currently bootstrapping my own business and don't have that kind of money to attend or even apply to present. I have a million dollar idea that is already patented and was released to market in 2009. Already sold in over 40 states, we are currently seeking growth capital and would love to attend events like this.

You know, I have heard this all before, and the sad part is, we were once doing something about it. Gore Vidal once said that "we [Americans] live in 'the United States of Amnesia.'" Yes, well if that is true, Oregon seems to be in amnesiac central. How can we make the promise to do what is right and then 25 years later find ourselves making the same promise again because 10 years ago we forgot where we want to go. Better education for your population is not something that one day you want and the next don't. This is a FOREVER investment. Just like the rest of the infrastructure that we have forgotten in this country.
