Housing envy

Housing envy

High-density living is the mantra for many urban planners in Portland, Eugene and other Oregon cities. But readers aren’t so keen on policies encouraging construction of apartments and condominiums. Almost half of respondents prefer local governments focus on the development of single-family homes. An equal number reject the notion that multifamily dwellings save governments money on infrastructure such as roads and sewers. Research partner CFM Strategic Communications conducted the survey of 412 readers in December.

Maybe this is a wakeup call for those who have voted in the past for more and tighter controls on how the cities are allowed to expand their boundaries onto adjoining Farm Land... "Jam & Cram" zoning thanks to those who have a "VISION" ! Lets build a WEST SIDE BYPASS. !!!
