Super Sad True Love Story By Gary Shteyngart

“In the foreground is a middle-aged, dead-end career guy falling for a twenty-something Korean girl in a New York City in the near future. The writing uses a mix of classic story prose mixed with her blogging, text, email and social media excerpts. It’s a lost-cause love.”

The White Tiger By Aravind Adiga

“Balram is a poor Indian who becomes a chauffeur to the ‘new’ India wealthy. It’s a biting commentary on the massive class disparity and its grossly different perspectives and realities. The narration vehicle is a series of letters between Balram and the Chinese Premier.”
