Over the past few months, the editorial team has been creating new features for the magazine. In November we launched Data Dig by research editor Brandon Sawyer, who gets inside a headline to see what the numbers really say about a topic. In this issue, Sawyer looks at the data behind the manufacturing industry to find out if it is declining — or not. We also now have regular Regional Reports and Industry Updates to ensure that over time the magazine regularly hits all sectors and regions.
We've added several new regular features in the front of the book designed to be quickly accessible and informative:

Live Work Play is about just that: the intersection of work and life. In this issue, we ask Icebreaker USA president Lisa Thompson a few pertinent questions.
Rank and File: We all love lists. This month we rank the income levels of Oregon’s wealthiest cities.
By the Numbers: A number often is worth a thousand words so we are breaking down stories and deals into just the stats, like mapping the numerous data centers that are springing up around the state.
Dispatches: These are news and trends from the frontlines. In this issue, see a story on how other businesses are adopting the low-overhead food cart model.
Profile: Nothing fascinates more than people. This installment is about developer Brian Obie’s long road to building the first boutique hotel in Eugene.
We’re working on more updates to the content and design of the magazine to better reflect the interests of readers and the purpose of Oregon Business: to inform and enlighten. And maybe surprise. Stay tuned.
