Vacancies are going through a teeter-totter period, but the apartment market is generally faring well in Eugene-Springfield.

This fall, the market is splendid for apartment building owners, according to the fall survey of about 1,500 Eugene-Springfield units by the Metro Multifamily Housing Association.

The vacancy rate is a decent 4.2 percent. Units fill up in 17.7 days, and landlords expect they’ll be able to raise their rates in the next six months, according to the survey.
