Portland-based Wieden+Kennedy was named Agency of the Year 2010 by Adweek, largely thanks to its social media campaigns.

Dan Wieden said that just a few years ago, the agency was actually struggling to keep up with the evolving digital aspect of advertising.

“When you’re 65 you know it’s real,” Wieden said, referring to his current age, “but you also know you’re not reacting to this learning curve. You need to get folks in here that can work with our exciting tradition and wake us up.”
