A Foxconn spokesman declined to elaborate about production plans, saying only that the company would continue to expand its workforce in Zhengzhou to meet seasonal demand from clients. But Foxconn executives familiar with the situation said the company has increased hiring in Zhengzhou because it is preparing to make the next iPhone.
