Though the numbers were down a bit from last year, the Oregon Food Bank raised $850,636 to fight hunger. _______ people attended despite temperatures in the upper 90’s. Major sponsors include Safeway, First Tech Credit Union (hence the branding of “Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival presented by First Tech Credit Union”) Coors Beer, Deschutes Brewery, Fed Ex, IQ Credit Union and the Oregonian.
All the way from Isreal, Lazer Lloyd brings blues with Jewish and mid-eastern flavors.
Macy Gray says in interviews that she’s sober, but she still plays the stoner on stage. Performing with the band Galactic, she delighted fans with old hits and new songs.
At 78, Buddy Guy still rocks.
The festival’s main stage, the “Brewery Stage” was sponsored by Coors and Deschutes Brewery.
