PGE breaks ground on natural gas plant

Portland General Electric Co. broke ground on a new natural gas plant outside of Clatskanie.

The Columbia County project is expected to create some 200 construction jobs. PGE believes it will come online in 2015. The plant is adjacent to PGE’s Port Westward and Beaver plants.
