Leadership of the Seneca Sawmill and the Seneca Family of Companies is shifting from founder Aaron Jones to his three daughters.

The three sisters grew up in the lumber business. “When we were young, we used to go there quite often with our father, it was our playground,” Jody Jones said. “We learned a lot there.”

As the sisters grew older, they gained experience in almost every part of the business, from forestry to mill design to management. “ I’ve worked everything from reception to banding lumber out in the lumber yard,” Jody Jones said. “I’ve worked with almost every person in the company, worked with my father and our manager on everything from the design of the sawmill to the design of the co-­generation plant.”
