Beaverton-based Reser’s Fine Foods bought competitor Orval Kent, the company’s second acquisition in two months.

Reser’s submitted a $69.2 million bid to buy the assets of food brand Orval Kent and its parent company, Chef Solutions Inc. A Delaware bankruptcy court accepted the offer Tuesday afternoon.

Reser’s saw market potential in two of its former rivals, both struggling to absorb rising commodity prices. In September, it paid $18.25 million for fresh cut vegetable company Vaughan Foods Inc.
