Oregon Business journalists win AZBEE awards of excellence.

Reporter April Streeter received a regional Gold award for her story about Jim Akenson and his efforts to rebrand hunting for young, conservation-minded urbanites.

Courtney Sherwood was the recipient of a regional Gold award for her investigation of the EB-5 immigrant investor visa program. Sherwood recently took the reins at the Lund Report. 

OB’s former digital news editor Jacob Palmer (now sports editor of the San Francisco Examiner), earned a regional Gold award for his prescient story about the  rebranding of Adidas. Reuters announced yesterday that Adidas sales in the first quarter outpaced Nike’s in China and North America.

Palmer’s article is also a finalist in the national AZBEE award category.

A silver award was bestowed on reporter Amy Milshtein for her insightful profile of Ziba Design.
