Fire claims golf course clubhouse in Lebanon

Update:Crews continue to fight the conflagration at the Mallard Creek Golf Course. An investigation will begin once the fire is out and crews can safely enter the scene. We have been in defensive mode since arrival due to the amount of fire involvement in the club house.

The amount of damage is estimated at $1.3 million.

The fire started late Monday night from within the structure.

“Water supplies were an issue so we called in extra firefighters and water tankers from mutual aid departments,” Davis said. Responding departments included crews from Scio, Albany, Tanget, Sweet Home and Brownsville.

No one was injured in the fire, which was extinguished at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. The cause remains under investigation.
