The Eugene Water & Electric Board eliminated Paradigm Properties, leaving three firms with the chance to acquire and redevelop the utility’s 17-acre riverfront property.

The decision to drop Paradigm from the running leaves the University of Oregon Foundation, Trammel Crow, and Williams & Dame Development to compete for the right to buy or lease the property as the master developer. EWEB hopes the surplus property is redeveloped into a vibrant mix of shops, restaurants, housing and public space.

In the next evaluation round, representatives of the three firms will make public presentations on July 30 to the five EWEB commissioners.
