The Montalieu and Niemeyer Northwest Wine Company partnership has purchased the historic Hyland Vineyard, a 200-acre plot long known as one of the oldest and largest vineyards in the state. The addition allows the partnership to cover the winemaking process from vine to table. The vineyard was listed for $4.1 million and was purchased for an undisclosed cash amount, according to Laurent Montalieu, winemaker and NWWC co-founder.  The Montalieus are also founders of Soléna Cellars and plan to introduce a Soléna Cellars “Hyland Vineyard” pinot noir this year.
