Despite Oregon’s early embrace of sustainability and many prominent green builders, the state ranks 18th for number of LEED projects, with 684; 382 are registered and 302 are certified, per the U.S. Green Building Council. Portland, though, ranks 10th among U.S. cities with 337 projects. Here are Oregon’s top 25 LEED-certified projects, ranked by square feet. Of these, only Symantec’s office in Springfield is located outside Portland. Multi-use blends of office, retail and residential account for 15; five are offices; two are public assemblies; and an industrial park, health care facility and hotel round out the list.
