Dental equipment maker A-dec made its first-ever acquisition earlier this year, purchasing Stelte Dental Systems of Mukilteo, Wash., for an undisclosed amount. Phil Westover, senior product manager, says the move doesn’t signal a new strategy for the private company. Stelte makes dental cabinets that fit in with A-dec’s existing product line. A-dec has close to 1,000 employees. |

Bioscience complex will house six local companies in 2013
From Oregon Translational Research and Development Institute: OTRADI today announced its plans to open and operate a 13,000 square-foot multi-tenant bioscience complex in the Willamette Wharf building at 4640 SW Macadam Avenue. Slated to be complete in spring 2013, the OTRADI Bioscience Incubator (OBI) will house up to six companies.
