Portland producer of fitness game lands McDonald's deal

Portland — It turns out even obsessive fitness types eat at McDonald’s. Maya, the virtual trainer who’s the main character of the popular Yourself!Fitness video game, spent quite a lot of time there this spring. Portland-based responDESIGN, publishers of the fitness game, landed a deal with the fast food chain that put DVDs with Maya leading one of four 15-minute workouts inside Go Active! Happy Meals for Adults. Customers also received $5 coupons toward the purchase of Yourself!Fitness video games. No word yet if the deal, which ended in May, added any inches to Maya’s wasteline.
