An expansion to the Grants Pass warehouse of Fire Mountain Gems adds 70,000 square feet of space for the wholesale bead and gem distributor. The company plans to consolidate products from its other five warehouses, located throughout Southern Oregon, into the larger Grants Pass space. Fire Mountain Gems employs about 500 people across its various locations. After the consolidation is complete by spring 2007, about 30 workers will be employed at the larger warehouse. The company conducts the majority of its business online, offering more than 75,000 jewelry products to crafty customers.
