KDOV-FM radio is expanding into television. The FCC has given KDOV initial approval for a low-power cable channel and it must be on the air by August 2008. To accommodate the growth the station, known as The Dove, will build a new facility and community center at Navigator’s Landing near the city’s airport. The new building also will house a Christian counseling center and have space available to the community for meetings, lectures and small concerts. KDOV will submit final plans to the city and apply for permits this fall.
