This list uses results from two surveys that went to companies and nonprofits: the 100 Best Nonprofits to Work For in Oregon in 2025 and the 100 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon in 2026.

Employees are asked to rate their satisfaction with — and the importance they attach to — the organization’s green mission and goals. They also address specific environmental practices, like recycling, waste reduction and support for alternative transportation.

Employers also submit information about their companies’ sustainability policies as well as how they measure compliance.
