NEWPORT
To make it official, the folks at the Greater Newport Chamber
of Commerce registered the trademark: Dungeness Crab Capital of
the World. Newport, home to four crab processing plants, had
the biggest crab landings anywhere on the coast for the last
three years. Yaquina Bay is also a popular destination for
recreational crabbers.
