JUNE 2007: AROUND THE STATE, DISPATCHES
PRINEVILLE
Construction could begin as early as this fall on a new
development planned on 235 acres along the Deschutes River.
Anglers Canyon will be a mixed-use site with retail stores, a
senior care facility, open green spaces and about 412 units of
high-density, senior and young family housing. “This is
the way a community develops, historically,” says
Clifford Curry, a partner in Prineville Holdings, the owners of
Anglers Canyon. He says the planned community feels right for
the area, especially with the mix of age demographics. Ideally,
residents will be able to age in place thanks to an on-site
senior care center. Construction should conclude by summer
2008.
