Visitors will soon be able to enjoy beachfront life from the
luxury of 56 new rooms at the Surfsand Resort. Construction on a
lavish addition began in December 2005 and will wrap up by this
September, according to Abbie Hart of Martin Hospitality, which owns the
Surfsand. Phase one involved remodeling the 30-year-old
property. New rooms will take shape during phase two along with
a new weekend retreat building and a large meeting space. This
addition will bring the number of rooms at the resort to more
than 100.
