EUGENE

Specialty retailer Oak Patch Gifts plans to add 30 employees to its staff of 320 by December, which will also be the end of its first year in a larger location. Oak Patch products such as the Jody Coyote jewelry line are sold in about 10,000-plus department stores and gift stores such as Hallmark, says Oak Patch CEO Chris Cunning. Jody Coyote, which began about 30 years ago as a vendor in Eugene’s Saturday Market, is a mainstay of the company, featuring fashionable jewelry from textured metals.
