EAGLE
POINT
Central Oregon could soon get a new resort-style hotel, condo
and bungalow complex. If the plans are approved, southern
California builder R.W. Hertel
& Sons could break ground in the early months of
2007. The proposal includes 71 hotel rooms, 11 bungalows and 51
townhouses spread over about 10 acres near the ninth hole at
Eagle Point Golf
Course. Bunny Lincoln of the planning department for the
city of Eagle Point says lodging at the golf course has been a
hope since the course was created in 1992. However, she says,
“We’re more excited about our Wal-Mart super
center.”
