EUGENE
Physician training got a boost in Eugene last month with the
gift of $1 million by the Oregon Community Credit Union to
the Sacred Heart Medical
Center Foundation. Paid out in $100,000 installments
over a 10-year period, the gift will fund a new program to send
medical students to five-week clerkships at clinics around the
state. The new Center for
Medical Education and Research is a collaboration
between Oregon Health & Science University, PeaceHealth and
the University of Oregon.
