Portland
Medical Properties Trust
plans to spend $4 million to renovate the Physicians’ Hospital. The
company purchased the facility for $17.8 million in August and
will turn it over to Vibra
Healthcare LLC in 2007 as a long-term acute care center.
Just over two years ago, four local doctors purchased the
hospital, formerly the Woodland Park Hospital, after it went
bankrupt. The doctors ran into financial problems after an
elderly patient died, resulting in a loss of funding.
