Northwest Natural Gas
is exploring the addition of a new pipeline. The approval
process begins in 2007. The company is considering connecting
TransCanada Corporation’s Gas Transmission Northwest
System pipeline in Madras with Northwest Natural’s own
line in Molalla. The purpose of the additional line is to
increase reliability, says communications manager Steve
Sechrist. If approved, construction will begin in 2010.
