Projects from 11 Oregon companies were some of the 194 chosen by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development to receive a $22.6 million grant through the Value-Added Producer Grant and the Small Minority Producer Grant programs. Among the Oregon recipients are Faith Wind LLC in Vale, Pendleton Grain Growers and the Oregon Wine Board. Much of the funds will be applied toward developing alternative power options such as wind energy and biodiesel.
