The Coquille Economic Development Corporation (CEDCO) has responded to months of very low vacancy rates at the Mill Casino and Hotel with plans for a $44 million expansion of the gaming and resort complex. The 25% increase in casino space will upgrade the lounge and allow for more games, including a poker room. Ray Doering, CEDCO communications coordinator, says that by the end of 2007 the expansion should add about 100 hotel rooms and require 100 employees to be added to the current 520-person staff.
