PORTLAND — HemCon has received a $10 million order from the U.S. Army for its $100 4-by-4-inch hemorrhage control bandage. HemCon recently quadrupled its manufacturing space to 35,000 square feet to produce smaller bandages intended for civilian uses, and a dental product. The HemCon bandage has been credited with saving the lives of  more than 100 American soldiers.
